Bob Roberts

Pastor Robert Roberts has been serving at Word of Life Slavic Baptist Church of Spartanburg for the past six years. Affectionately known by the children in the church as “Big Bob,” he faithfully preaches to the adult congregation each Sunday and also leads Children’s Church. After services, he often remains long after others have left—listening to children’s stories, offering encouragement, or simply sharing a hug or fist bump. He is also frequently found counseling and ministering to adult members of the church well after the service has ended.

Prior to joining Word of Life Slavic Baptist Church in 2019, Bob Roberts served at Wild Christian Camp for over 20 years as the assistant director of the junior camp program. Throughout his ministry, he has dedicated his life to presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ to children in a clear, engaging, and accessible way.

He is also the author of the Kids for Truth curriculum, which is currently used by more than 1,000 churches across the United States for children’s evangelistic clubs.
