Sergey Minka

Senior Pastor

Pastor Sergey Minka was born in Ukraine, saved at 11, and immigrated to the U.S. in 1994. After seminary training in Greenville (Bob Jones University), he was called to pastoral ministry in Spartanburg in 2013, where he continues to serve. He and his wife, Olga, have three children.

Bob Roberts

Teaching Pastor

Pastor Bob Roberts has served at Word of Life Slavic Baptist Church for six years. Loved by the children as “Big Bob,” he faithfully preaches, leads kids’ ministry, and cares for church members. Before joining in 2019, he spent over 20 years as an evangelist at Wild Christian Camp. He also authored the Kids for Truth curriculum, now used by over 1,000 churches nationwide.

Sergey Lipko

Youth Pastor

Sergey Lipko was born in Ukraine, repented at the age of 13, and was baptized at 16. He came to the United States at the age of 12 and has been a member of the church since 2000. Since March 2022, he has been serving as a pastor. He is married to Lyudmila, and together they are raising two children, Benjamin and Katya. He works as a Nurse Practitioner. His favorite Bible verse is Matthew 11:28. He is involved in youth ministry, seeking to support and guide young people on the right path.
