Sergey Minka was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, in 1974 into a Christian family. He often heard the Gospel, but at the age of 11, Sergey personally recognized his sinfulness and his lost condition. God opened his heart to understand and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, and at that time he consciously professed his faith in the redemptive sacrifice of Christ.
In 1987, Sergey was baptized in water.In 1994, his family emigrated to the United States (Spokane, Washington), where he became actively involved in church ministry and later led the youth group. In 2000, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN, BSN). He later graduated from Western Carolina University with a Master of Science in Anesthesia and currently works as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
In 2005, Sergey moved to Greenville, South Carolina, to study at Bob Jones University Seminary, where he pursued a Master of Pastoral Theology. In 2013, he was called to pastoral ministry at a Baptist church in Spartanburg.Today, Sergey continues to serve as a pastor. He and his wife, Olga, are raising three children: Joseph, Dominic, and Evelina.
